The best way to use E-Mail in Mexico is by using a web (browser based) e-mail account often called site mail.  Some Internet Service Providers (ISP's) provide this service as an option to existing customers, but they can also be purchased from many e-mail vendors directly on the Internet.

1) Type in the web URL of your web based e-mail account using any web browser.  Demo: SiteMail

2) Enter your User Name and Password.
3) Read and Send or Delete messages.  (Simple as that!)

Your mail can be accessed from any Internet Cafe in the Costalegre or from any personal or business computer connected to the internet.  You will not have to procure a new roaming e-mail address and have to forward this new address to people you normally correspond with, then cancel it when you get home and re-notify your friends.

These mail companies are not really "FREE".  You "Will" have to fill out a form providing Personal, Demographic & Marketing information to them which they sell to advertising companies.  You "Will" receive spam (junk mail) in you mailbox and view nuisance "Banner Ads" when you check your mail.  You "Will" see irritating pop-up Ads which boot-up automatically in your browser.  The account will also expire if you do not use it regularly, so you could loose your chosen username, possibly forever.  People sending you mail may also receive junk mail from their advertisers.  This may not be doing your friends a favor.  They do however provide a semi-reliable service with no cash outlay.  Some people use them, mostly because they think they are getting an e-mail service for free.  One of the more popular (free?) e-mail providers is Microsoft's MSN hotmail.
