On the Pacific coast of Mexico, less
than half an hour north of Manzanillo and four hours south of Puerto
Vallarta lies the villages of Barra de Navidad and Melaque/San
Patricio. These villages are located on the beautiful Bahia de
Navidad (Christmas Bay). There are many islands to view and this bay
is famous for its spectacular sunsets - if you are lucky you may
even see the Green Flash from one of the beach bars. From
time-to-time whales and dolphins can be seen in the bay.

There are three canals in Barra and
our B & B is located on the last canal, which is the main canal
for the fishing and sports boats entering and leaving the
Marina. This area is noted for its excellent Marlin, Sail
fishing and Dorado fishing. We will be happy to arrange a
fishing trip for you. |

Across the road is a natural
lagoon. During the season it is loaded with bird life - white
pelicans, cormorants, pink spoonbills and too many more to
mention. There is also a crocodile or two. |

We provide a tour of the local
villages - Barra de Navidad, San Patricio/Melaque, Villa Obregon
and Cuastecomate - at no charge. When possible we will provide
free local transport. Local public transport is inexpensive and
within walking distance. We also provide, free for our
guests: use of the swimming pool, palapa, bicycles, ice chests,
snorkel gear, beach mats and umbrellas. |

We can arrange for you to visit
the city of Colima with its active volcano; Guadalajara, and the
famous shopping markets of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque - the choice
and duration is yours to choose. |
